ICOM IC-820 Mods Expanded RF 136 - 174 and 420 - 460 Mhz
1- Remove power and antenna.
2- Remove screws and open the radio case.
3- Locate logic board (front of the radio).
4- Locate and CUT diode D-26, D-27, D-28. ( Diode D-25 and D-27 is for VHF
D-26 and D-28 are the UFH diodes.)
5- Install a 1SS353 in the open position between D-27 and D-28. ( for cross
band repeater.
6- Reassemble the radio.
7- Reset the microprocessor if required...
